Art work
Autumn Harvest
Last year, 3rd class (currently 4th) planted a variety of vegetables in our Community Garden with the assistance of Global Action Plan, Ballymun. The reward came this year (15th of Sept), when the girls dug up the Potatoes, along with onions, cabbage and other healthy produce.
What fun we had with our trowels and spades.

We are so excited to be learning cricket. Fintan has been teaching us on Tuesdays. You use a bat, ball and wickets. It's kind of like rounders but better.

Happy Christmas!
We had a lovely time in December. We were busy singing, playing our tin whistes, knitting santys,
snowmen and angels and doing loads of Christmas art. Of course, we did lots of work too! In maths,
we have been doing decimals. We learned all about shopping in the past. We are now experts at
procedural writing. Ask us all about Tchaikovsky and his nutcraker ballet!
We really enjoyed performing at the Christmas mass.
AND.... we had a visit from Santa himself. We got so many lovely things. Thank you so much Santy.

GAP Awards
4th class attended the gap beautiful spaces awards in the civic centre. We won an award for our upcycled bottle cap arrangement and for our wonderful scarecrow.
We grew rhubarb. What should we bake?
We grew some rhubarb in our school garden. So we decided to bake some yummy rhubarb crumble.
First we cooked rhubarb crumble and sugar in the oven.
First we cooked rhubarb crumble and sugar in the oven.
We made the crumble by crumbling butter, flour and sugar together. We layered a baking tray with our coked rhubarb and put our crumble on the top. We baked it in the oven. It was lovely with the custard.
