Genius Hour
The girls have been working hard on their Genius Hour projects for weeks. When they were ready, they invited other classes and teachers to come and examine their work! Below are their final projects.
Butterflies
This year we got some caterpillars in the classroom, which turned into butterflies! The girls watched the whole process happen, from caterpillar to chrysalis and eventually emerging Painted Lady butterflies. Once the butterflies were strong enough to fly on their own, we released them out into the school yard. Some of the butterflies didn't want to leave us just yet, so they hung around and posed for some photos!
Tour to Dublinia
Friday 25th March
The girls of Third Class A and B have been learning about Vikings in school and wanted to learn even more by visiting Dublinia in Dublin's city centre. Third Class B wrote very persuasive letters to the principal Ms. Cuthbert and convinced her to let them go! Here are some photos from the trip.

December
Merry Christmas from Third Class B!
In December Third Class B were very busy getting ready for Christmas! The girls loved making their Santa Christmas cards, Christmas tree baubles with their faces on them, and creating and painting their clay decorations. We also had a surprise visit to Axis Theatre where we got to see an Irish play, as well as watching a cosy Christmas movie together. There was also a special surprise from Santa Clause himself when he delivered a toy to each of the girls.

Happy Halloween from 3rd Class B!
Third Class B had lots of fun during the build up to Halloween. They painted spooky haunted house silhouettes, took part in the Dublin City Council Halloween poster competition, carved a ghost pumpkin and examined the pulp inside, and had a brilliant Halloween disco on the last day before midterm break! Lots of girls won prizes at the disco for their creative and terrifying Halloween costumes and their crazy dance moves.
